SureCare Birmingham is a franchise of SureCare Community Services Limited owned and operated by Romie Care Services Limited.
At SureCare Birmingham, we aim to provide care, assistance and support in ways that have positive outcomes for all of our clients, whilst promoting and encouraging their active participation. We regularly review the services we provide to ensure that we are successfully meeting the needs of our service users and achieving their aims and objectives. We also encourage feedback from our clients, their relatives, friends and representatives.
Our person-centred approach to care allows us to provide tailor-made care and support packages that contribute to the overall health and well-being of our clients, whilst incorporating individual needs, wishes and preferences. SureCare Birmingham also strives to work in partnership with other services and health professionals, maximising the full potential of those we support.

In order to meet our clients’ individual needs, we at SureCare Birmingham ensure that a full care needs assessment is completed by our experienced staff and a detailed plan of care is agreed. We also seek to ensure that our clients’ needs are thoroughly re-assessed as often as required, so that the care and support provided has the flexibility to respond to any change of needs. Through our services, we strive to assist our clients in maintaining their dignity and independence at home, as well as encouraging participation within our local community wherever possible.
SureCare Birmingham has rigorous recruitment and in-house training procedures, allowing us to consistently provide high quality amongst our team of care professionals. All of our staff are subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance, and are regularly monitored and supported in their role. Full extensive training is provided, with career progression and personal development actively encouraged throughout. Through this, we strive to ensure that our services are delivered to the high and professional standard you’d come to expect from a nationally recognised care provider.

Ben Awunor and Kay Adenekan
Ben Awunor and Kay Adenekan along with their wives are the franchise owners and they have been running the franchise since 2002. Ben and Kay manage the day to day operation of the business.
Ben’s background is management accountancy – he has worked in various organisations in the UK, including the NHS, in many capacities. Kay is a Medical Doctor, he was a hospital paediatrician for several years in the NHS and now runs the franchise with Ben.
Both Ben and Kay are very committed and passionate about providing care in the community. In particular, they are very keen to ensure that quality care is provided consistently and service users get value for their money. Their care philosophy is “Do unto other as you will want others to do to you”.

Sandra Luton
Sandra has been working for SureCare in Birmingham for more than 8 years. During this period, she has worked as Senior Carer, Team Leader, Care Manager and she is now our Registered Manager. She has got her Level 5 qualification in Care. She is very experienced and extremely reliable and very passionate about providing consistently reliable, responsive, reflective and safe care. She continues to provide responsible leadership to our teams of carers and office staff.
