SureCare provides more than just home care
Posted on 17 March 2022
No two people are the same. The care needs of individuals will differ from one another based on various factors, including age, disability, level of mobility and even existing family support. That’s why SureCare is committed to providing help for a wide range of scenarios throughout life’s journey.
When you think of ‘home care’, the most common thing that comes to mind is probably support for the elderly. Whilst this is often the case for many people receiving home care services today, it’s not the only form of care available. SureCare offers an extensive variety of different services to help a broader range of people.
Over the years, we have developed and expanded our range of quality care services to help support people from all walks of life. Whether you need a little support once in a while or a more dedicated long-term solution, SureCare operators up and down the country are ready and raring to assist you.
Take a look at some of the key care services we provide throughout the UK and see how we may be able to help you.
Home Care
First and foremost, domiciliary care – better known as home care – is our primary service, particularly for older service users. This is because more and more people are choosing to receive support in later life in the comfort and familiarity of their homes, as opposed to moving to a care home.
Home care can also be extended to people of all ages who find daily tasks a bit difficult. This includes those with physical disabilities or learning difficulties. Our home care services are tailored to the individual, so that we can provide you with help where you most need it.
We can assist with personal tasks like washing, dressing and taking medication, to domestic chores like cooking, cleaning and laundry. Our care workers can also run errands or do the weekly shop on your behalf in cases where it’s difficult to go outside, or during periods of medical shielding or self-isolation.
Home Services
Even if you don’t need a high level of personal home care support, we can still provide our domestic services to people of all ages and abilities. This is great for anyone looking for a little helping hand around the home.
Alongside the standard household chores mentioned above, our teams can provide support for light handyman jobs like changing hard-to-reach light bulbs and replacing smoke alarm batteries. For the more green-fingered individuals, we’re also happy to lend a hand in the garden to mow the lawn and tend to your plants.
SureCare teams up and down the country are always looking for new ways to support service users. If you have any particular requests we haven’t considered before, feel free to ask us and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs around the home.
Live-in Care
For a more dedicated care service around the clock, SureCare also offers a live-in care service. This is ideal for those who may rely on regular support throughout the day and night. A member of our care team will stay in your home for an agreed period to essentially provide ‘on demand’ support.
As well as establishing a daily care routine, your live-in care worker will be available at any time to attend to any sudden concerns or emergencies. In order to facilitate our live-in care service, however, you will need a spare bedroom in your home that’s suitable for accommodating your care worker for the duration of the service.
Live-in care is available as a long-term service for those with prolonged medical issues, as well as a temporary service to assist during a short period of post-hospital recovery or to provide cover when a regular family carer may need to be away for a while.
Respite and Holiday Care
You may be like many people throughout the country who rely on family members or volunteers for regular care. Everyone needs a break once in a while, though, so SureCare is happy to step in with temporary respite services.
Like our other services mentioned above, a care package can be tailored to your individual needs, routines and preferences. This means that your regular carer can take some time for themselves without compromising on your care.
Whether they need a week-long holiday or just an afternoon off to catch up with themselves, SureCare teams across the country can work with you to deliver effective continuity care in their absence.
Childcare
It’s not just adults who benefit from SureCare’s services. Many of our care teams around the country also offer a range of childcare support. This includes child minding and babysitting at home, as well as a mobile crèche service whilst out and about.
Our mobile crèche facilities are ideal for large gatherings like weddings or conferences, allowing grown-ups to focus on their day without worrying about the little ones. Monitored by childcare specialists, SureCare’s mobile crèches aim to create an engaging environment for children of all ages and abilities, kitted out with a range of toys, activities and sensory equipment.
Back at home, we can support busy parents with a standard child minding service or provide specialist support for children with disabilities. Speak to your nearest SureCare branch to find out more about the availability of childcare services in your area.
