SureCare’s update on coronavirus COVID-19
Posted on 10 February 2021
It’s been almost a year since all of our lives were turned upside down by the coronavirus pandemic. Thanks to the collective efforts of healthcare workers, vaccine researchers and the general public staying at home, we’re now seeing a strong light at the end of the tunnel.
There may still be quite a while to go before lockdown restrictions can be relaxed. Even then, it may still be advisable to practice social distancing and wear protective equipment like face coverings for some time afterwards. We are committed to upholding enhanced standards of care to keep people safe and prevent any future spread of coronavirus for as long as necessary.
At SureCare, we often look after some of the most vulnerable people in society. That makes it especially important for us, as key workers, to do everything possible to protect those who are most at risk of becoming badly affected by coronavirus.
How we’re keeping you safe
SureCare teams up and down the country are working hard to provide vital care services to thousands of customers in a safe and secure manner. In order to maintain our services, these key workers are following all of the appropriate guidelines. This means many care workers are temporarily living alone, staying away from their own friends and families, and maintaining strict social distancing every day.
Our staff are well supplied with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like gloves, gowns, face masks and visors. All PPE items are disposed of after every care visit to prevent any spread of viruses. This not only helps to protect our customers but also our care workers themselves, allowing them to continue their important work and reducing the risk of them catching a virus and needing to self-isolate at home.
To further ensure the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff, carers are also tested on a weekly basis. This also helps to provide peace of mind to those we care for and their families, as it also allows us to continue providing vital services as normal.
