Bank Staff Care Assistant
Overview

We have vacancies for bank staff to cover absence and holidays and is great way to earn some extra money.
Our runs vary but generally are:
- Day shifts from 7:00am until 2:00pm
- Evenings from 4:30pm until 10:00pm
You can use your caring skills to help people to remain at home where they feel most comfortable and truly make a difference to those who need support.

- Hourly rates: £12.60 for weekdays, £13.70 for evenings (after 6pm) and for weekends.
- Paid travel time for travelling between clients homes, on average 5 to 10 minutes only.
- Paid mileage in addition to paid travel time.
- Bank holidays: £18.90 in the day and £20.55 after 6pm. Christmas Day and New Year’s Day are both paid at double time.

You do not need to have previous experience in care as we provide full training:
- Firstly our in-house induction course to introduce you to care and provide practical hands on training.
- Then you will shadow runs to see how care is delivered by our experienced carers.
- Then you are observed delivering care to give you the support until you feel confident to go onto the rota on your own or as part of a double handed team.
- You will also be supported to complete the Care Certificate, if you haven’t yet completed it, and will have access to our wide range of e-learning courses. As you progress you will have the opportunity to complete NVQs in care and specialise in particular areas of care that you enjoy the most.
Working in care can be tough and it is true to say that no two days are the same but it is one of the most rewarding jobs you will ever have. You could be supporting clients with washing and dressing, meal preparation, medication administration, cleaning duties, accompanying to appointments and building friendships to reduce social isolation.
We can only currently take on female carers as this is what our clients have requested. You will need a car due to the locations of our clients, although travel between clients homes averages around only 5 to 10 minutes.
If you have experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or in the NHS we would love to hear from you. However, if you do not have experience, we provide full training and encourage candidates from all sectors to apply, for example: retail sales assistant, customer service, hairdressers/beauticians, receptionist, administrator, cleaners, warehouse workers and delivery drivers. This could be the start of your new career, with our full support and outstanding training, anything is possible if you put your head and heart into it.
