SureCare Central Cheshire celebrates the lives of our clients with a photoshoot

SureCare Central Cheshire has celebrated the individual lives of the clients we care for with a fun professional photoshoot.

As well as providing a range of care services to people in Nantwich and Audlem to enable them to carry on living in their own homes for longer, we love doing whatever we can to put a smile on people’s faces. That’s why earlier this year, we organised a fun photography session for several of our clients to capture some wonderful moments that show how our care workers support them each day.

Ann, 92, a former model, who was photographed in her garden, said: “It was such a fun day and lovely to visit a part of my garden which I hadn’t been to in such a long time. I was pleased that my dog Amei came along for the photos too.

“I think the photographs are excellent. I thought I looked old, but at the age of 92 you can’t look anything but old! The whole photoshoot idea really made me feel part of something and took me straight back to my modelling days.”

Ken, 71, who had a career in social care before retiring, said: “Having my photograph taken was a very uplifting experience and I’m delighted with the pictures.”

Gary, 72, an army veteran, was photographed whilst out and about on his red motorised scooter, alongside Care Manager Sarah Castelow. Gary said: “I miss the camaraderie from my army days and love to have a laugh with my care workers.

“The photoshoot was good fun, and I enjoyed speeding up the scooter to make sure Sarah had to keep up with me!”

Betty, 92, a former primary school teacher, said: “I don’t normally like having my photograph taken but I was very pleased with how they turned out.”

Kirstie Hercules, director of SureCare Central Cheshire based in Nantwich said: “We wanted to take some photographs to show the real lives of our clients. We knew it would be uplifting but we didn’t realise just how moving it would be, as the people we care for opened up and shared their memories.”

Tina Jones, co-director of SureCare Central Cheshire, said: “Everyone got so much out of the day that we want to repeat it to bring more smiles and to showcase some of our superb care workers who provide incredible care to the people we look after.”

All clients and care workers have been presented with printed copies of their photographs, which were taken by Paul Elliot Photography.

SureCare Central Cheshire has an overall ‘Good’ rating with the Care Quality Commission and is rated as ‘Outstanding’ in the caring category.
