SureCare Charnwood attended the Later Life event in Loughborough on Friday 17th March, helping to raise standards and awareness of the local care sector.

The event, hosted and organised by Charnwood’s local MPs Nicky Morgan and Edward Argar, was well attended by care providers and those providing services aimed at supporting older residents, who may need assistance with issues that impact on later life.

Both Members of Parliament have been regularly contacted by constituents in the area struggling to cope with daily life as the population gets older. The main talking points about later life can often be overlooked, which is why this event was set up specifically to discuss avenues of support.

Representatives from various charities, social enterprises, community groups and support services came along to Fearon Hall in Loughborough, and we’re proud that SureCare Charnwood was also in attendance to provide our support.

We were able to share our knowledge of best practices and we made some excellent connections with local organisations. On top of that, we met with many local residents and offered advice on how our services may assist them in later life.
