Infection Control Notice
Notice on Infection Control and Coronavirus (COVID-19)
At SureCare, the wellbeing of our clients and staff is our absolute priority. We take considered steps to implement and fully adhere to our infection control policies and procedures. This way, our service users, families of services users, and our care staff can feel assured that their personal health and safety is of paramount importance to us.
All SureCare employees are fully aware of existing requirements with regards to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and its effectiveness in reducing the spread of potentially harmful diseases/viruses. At SureCare, we provide all necessary protective clothing (e.g. aprons and gloves) and strive to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
SureCare employees routinely follow robust health and safety procedures and receive regular training to stay on top of any future changes to guidelines. Our employees are reminded to treat all caring environments as areas where there may be potential risks for infection, and to take appropriate measures to reduce any risks of infection. We do this to strive for the highest possible standards of hygiene to be maintained throughout all aspects of our service delivery.
Since the emergence and spread of Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (which causes the disease COVID-19) in early 2020, we have been even more acutely aware of the importance of adhering to proper hygiene protocols and the need for social distancing at appropriate times. Whilst the widespread effects of COVID-19 have largely subsided and there are presently no Government restrictions in place, the risks associated with COVID-19 remain a potential cause for concern at times, especially amongst those over the age of 65 and/or with a history of respiratory or other medical issues.
Of course, infection control is not limited to preventing the spread of COVID-19, but also takes into account many other diseases/viruses that can be transmitted via airborne particles/droplets or via bodily fluids. SureCare workers aim to identify environments and situations where infection hazards may exist by taking an open and honest approach and by making the disclosure of such information possible amongst colleagues and our service users.
Through this, it is our mission to provide additional peace of mind to our clients/service users, their loved ones and all SureCare staff members. Care workers up and down the country have been and continue to be a vital part of the frontline support team looking after our communities on a daily basis. With our robust health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures in place, we aim to offer assurances that our care services are conducted in a safe and professional manner.
