Babysitter and Nanny
Purpose of the position
We are seeking a responsible, caring, and energetic individual to provide high-quality care for children in a safe and nurturing environment. You will be responsible for the well-being and supervision of the children under your care, ensuring their safety, engaging them in fun and educational activities, and helping with their daily routines.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks following any dietary restrictions.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including games, crafts, reading, and outdoor play.
- Assist with homework and educational tasks as needed.
- Follow the parents’ instructions and guidelines regarding bedtime, discipline, and routines.
- Change diapers, assist with toilet training, and help with personal hygiene.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by tidying up after meals, playtime, and activities.
- Supervising TV watching, video games and internet usage.
- Cleaning and organising around the house.
- Picking up children from school, taking them home and accompanying them to appointment, sports activities or school events.
- Responding to injuries, emergencies and recognising situations where parents should be contacted versus when to call 999, 111 or 101.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Handle emergencies or accidents calmly and responsibly, seeking help if necessary.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including those related to COVID-19, allergies, and household rules.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare, babysitting, or related roles is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to follow instructions and be flexible with changing needs.
- Strong communication skills, both with children and parents.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Ability to handle multiple children, if necessary.
Work Schedule
- Live-out and live-in roles. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Specific hours will be arranged based on the family’s needs.
