SureCare North Leeds Helps the Homeless

At SureCare North Leeds, care and support are exactly what we’re all about. That’s why we have recently taken part in a local event to help with providing free meals to the homeless in Leeds City Centre.

In co-operation with St. George’s Crypt, we joined forces with our friends at Stone Gables Care Home to show our care and compassion for the community. Following an initial meeting with St. George’s Crypt – where we discussed our joint intentions to volunteer – we were granted access to the Care Centre on Great George Street to reach out to the homeless and the vulnerable who seek shelter there.

We wanted to show that SureCare is a friendly, approachable and caring company, willing to provide support and assistance as much as we possibly can. While we normally offer home care packages in the area, we also feel it’s important to take care of others in our community, even when they may not be able to afford our regular services.

Whether simply providing a free meal, helping to give advice or simply being someone to talk to, helping out the less fortunate and more vulnerable members of our society is all part of our caring nature. We’re proud to have had this opportunity to demonstrate our passion for reaching out and making a real difference in people’s lives.

This event has also helped us to build relationships within the local caring community. We’ve already established strong links with Stone Gables Care Home, occasionally supplying them with bank staff to cover any sudden or unplanned carer absences. St. George’s Crypt has also become a great connection, as they regularly come across high volumes of people requiring services that SureCare can help with.

Our compassionate charity work doesn’t just end here, though. The team at SureCare North Leeds are hoping to take part in many more local events, meaning this will simply be one of many that we’ll attend in the community, so we can offer more helping hands to those who need it.
