Leadership

SureCare Peterborough is a franchise of SureCare Community Services Limited owned and operated by RRD Peterborough Care Limited.

SureCare Peterborough is led by Rubie Rattan.  After a successful professional career in the city, Rubie strongly desired to get back into the local community where she grew up and to genuinely make a positive difference to people’s lives.  Rubie’s decision to move into the care sector was taken after a family member had sadly received a disappointing level of care at a time of need.

Rubie would love to make SureCare Peterborough the city’s preferred care provider of choice.  She aims to achieve this by providing a positive experience for the clients of SureCare Peterborough, enabling them to stay in the comfort of their own homes and remain independent, together with those who work for SureCare Peterborough.

Rubie is passionate and driven to provide the highest quality care in the local community and to ensure this is tailored to meet the individual client’s needs.

Staff Training

We personally deliver our induction course in-house to ensure all our care assistants are competent and understand how we believe care should be delivered to our high standards.  This training includes information on our policies and procedures, reporting, communication and legislation surrounding Health and Safety at Work.

During the first 12 weeks of employment our care assistants complete the Care Certificate, which includes topics such as safeguarding, food hygiene, moving and handling, infection control, first aid, health and safety and medication awareness training.

Refresher training takes place on a regular basis and all care assistants are given the opportunity to work towards a diploma in care.  We encourage our staff to do training in specific areas according to the individual needs of our clients.

All our staff undergo a rigorous vetting programme before joining SureCare Peterborough.  This includes telephone interviews, face-to-face interviews, written references from former employers and an enhanced criminal records disclosure check.  Ongoing supervision, appraisal and support are provided for all our care staff.
